    Remingtons in trouble!

Looks like Remington has found its self in some hot water. I really hope they make it through this lull and I’m going to go buy a Remington to help the cause who’s with me?!?!

I wouldn’t buy one with your money

If they produce junk, they can go out of business

If buying one over 20 years old will help them I may be able to contribute.

          remingtons are great rifles.

all you have to do is rebarrel them, send the action in to get trued up, replace the trigger with a timney or jewell and you'll have a gun that shoots just as good as an out of the box sako, weatherby, or savage

Kyle- If you spend the time and money to get the upgrades, why not just by a good one to start with??

I do believe that may have been his point as well.

My old rem 700’s are awesome.
                    I wouldn’t consider one now.
                    Never liked their ammo.
Hate to have less makers in the market though
                    Competition is good.

I kind of hope the current leadership and ownership go away and the BRAND survives and taken over by someone that understands and believes in stellar QC.

Disappointing. I want to buy American as much as the next redneck but these guns have really declined in quality and reliability.

I bought my son a 700 tactical in 308 last Christmas and while it “does the job” for 100 yard shots to the feeder, 2- 2.25 MOA is garbage. Total garbage.

When I turned 18, I bought a 700 BDL in 7mm and that gun has always performed perfectly. When I had the time to handload I could get groups pushing .5 MOA. out of a bone stock rifle. 25 years later, it’s a crapshoot when you buy one.

With the advancement in computers, Cnc technology, and materials improvements there is no reason these guns should shoot poorly

Even sadder is the companies that Remington has bought that would go under also. This would not be good for the industry.
