Dove tail or no dove tail

Pros and cons of a dove tail on gooseneck. Looking to buy one but not sure if I should get one with a dovetail or one with regular deck.

Always go dovetail in my opinion unless you will never load any wheeled equipment on it.

Can sort of depend on what you’re planning to use it for. But if it’s to regularly haul wheeled equipment then dove tail certainly.

For a goose neck hauling tractors, etc. I would go dovetail. I wont make the mistake of buying a dovetail lowboy again though.

Deck over with a hyd ramp, so much easier then flippings ramps up and down

Sounds like something else to break that would need fixing.

If your hauling pallets or pipe get a flat deck.

If your hauling anything with wheels get a dovetail.

If you do both get a dovetail with ramps that fold over to create a flat deck.

Dove tail with the center pop up to make it a true flat bed when needed.

Dovetail with mega ramps here, only draw back is low ground clearance in the back but it’s a trailer and most people only judge the dings on the side not underneath
