Not my recipe but made this last night with venison round steak and it turned out fabulous.
Being venison I cooked it longer than the recipe calls for, about 6 hours. I also added some cayenne, white and black pepper and some salt because it was a little bland without them.
I could've served it to a die hard bambi lover and they wouldn't have know it was venison.
