Obviously one of the great moments as a parent is to watch your child achieve the success they've worked for. My 9yr old got a little taste of that success tonight. We've been practicing shooting several times a week at a blank carpet with just a tack for an aiming point for his first year shooting SYWAT, ASA 3D, and 4-H.
I could tell he was on tonight, but he's still got a ways to go as far as building strength to stay consistent. He shot several groups of 6, peaked at between 6-18 arrows and then fell off as he got tired. After 36, I told him to forget everything and just focus on shooting one arrow. Very next arrow he nailed the tack. He was so proud. He pulled the tack to show his 4-H coach next week at practice.
