Great pitching for the Astros in this series ending with Peacock striking out the side to end the game/series. The Rangers score a total of 3 runs in the series while striking out a total of 39 times in three games.
Congrats to the Astros on another series win. On to LA to take on the Angels.

Hung in there? W/ this pitching staff the Rangers have been out of it since Day One. Injuries just made it less interesting. Until the pitching staff gets a makeover, the club is going nowhere.
Beltre' is very likely a Hall of Fame player. His legs have been a sore spot, pun intended, for awhile now. He's a big guy w/ faulty hamstrings. Bad combination. It's too bad he'll likely finish out the year, and maybe career, on a bad team in ill health. We'll see...
It's really bad the Rangers because he'll likely have little trade value. I hope for his sake he can get healthy and JD can / will find an AL contender that could use a DH / pinch hitter / part-time 3rd baseman. Maybe get a player, maybe a bag of baseballs. But do right for Beltre'. He's been a warrior.
Oh yeah, Ranger pitching reverted to form the last two days. Typical.
Listening to the game on the way home today Eric Nadel said "this is excruciating to watch". Pretty well sums up the season.Last edited by mikemorvan; 05-13-2018, 05:36 PM.
