    New Portaband Stand

Built a stand for the swag off-road portaband table. I cut a couple tabs to put on each side of the drum on the bottom if I want to anchor it. Going to try it without first and see how it does. This setup works really well for quick cuts, small stuff, etc. I have the footpedal power switch for it. That’s a peterbilt drum.

One of the best investments I’ve made has been this Hougen mag drill.

Gonna slap some rattlecan paint on it and bolt the table on tomorrow.

I dig it! Need to make one for mine. I haven’t exactly mastered cutting squarely with it and think a stand would help a lot.

Got some paint on it and saw table bolted on. Made couple test cuts. Working good. On to the next project.

Is the table and miter the SWAG 4.0? Been looking at that just to be able to use the miter but building my own would be cheaper.

Yes they are both from swag along with foot pedal.

I love my swag table. The foot pedal makes life eeeeasy! I use it every day cutting everything from aluminum to titanium.

The only downside to the table is changing blades requires removal of the saw.

Cut some round bar on it earlier worked great. One thing I am going to make for it will be a chip tray to go under the table. Most of the metal chips (or whatever you want to call them) land on that stand top so a small tray would work great for cleaning out.

How much do those drums weigh? I was thinking about doing the same thing.
