    Old hunting photo and story

Was looking through some old photo's and came across this old hunting picture, thought I'd share the story. Some 20+ years ago me and 3 of my buddies went to a Ranch in Mason Tx. it was a day lease place with stands in place and feeders, you could take 1 buck and 2 does per person, my good friend Tony sat in tree at stand #17, which was the close'est stand to camp, he shot a nice 8pt first morning and said saw lots of bucks so he gave stand #17 to are friend Jimmy next morning and he connects on a nice 13pt, also saying saw more bucks so he let me have it that evening and I shot a wide 8pt, also seeing more bucks, so that next morning we let are last friend in the group hunt #17 and he shoots another nice 8pt, so in 3 days we all shot a buck out of same tree, was one of the most rememberable hunts I had been on with my buddies.

    God Bless

Yes, this was the Homer Martin Ranch, started hunting there every year after that for 18yrs hunted this place then he went corporate, broke my heart, I had a place up on side of big hill that I put a popup at for 8yrs in a roll and always got a buck and does, miss those days.

I hunted there in the early 90's. My first try at bow hunting. Lots of opportunity.

Did you eat at Coopers or use the deer storage there?

Sounds like the Winkle ranch we day hunted at, west of Llano. We'd hunt there in October before the rifle season and would be covered up with deer. That was some fun bow hunting.
