Default What’s your favorite small Texas town to visit?

And why? Looking through old photos and at the time it was Athens. Spending several summers with my Great Aunts. I sure enjoyed that town. It’s many years since I’ve been there (I know it’s grown alot since and not small anymore).

Always enjoy the small town of Leakey when we are out there on vacation. Takes me back to a simple way of life. It doesn't hurt one bit that it is down right beautiful, loaded with Indian artifacts and has the Frio River as its playground.

I've always enjoyed Glen Rose. Since my family has been involved since the inception of The Promise, Glen Rose and the surrounding areas played a big role in my childhood. Comanche Peak, Squaw Creek, Lake Granbury, the square in Granbury, Fossil Rim, Dinosaur State Park, etc.

Great place to visit.

Luckenbach qualifies as a town? It's like 4 buildings lol I like the vibe of Luckenbach. Like walking in on somebody's family reunion. I would say Llano as well. Or maybe Hico

Fredericksburg. Used to have a lease 30 minutes from there and spent a lot of time there. Hope to have a lease in that area again starting next year.

Marathon and alpine I would agree. To me most of the little towns have changed so much the past ten years. Sisterdale and brady used to be cool little towns

Winnsboro. There’s nothing really all that special about the town, but it’s quaint, small, friendly, close to my property, and it’s not DFW.

As much as I've been in Florida, the answer to where I live is really Naples...

and the better half is more than likely in East Texas.

but yes....we are still Llano county residents.

Sattler and Startzville near Canyon Lake. If I was there it meant I was spending time with my grandparents. I sure miss them.

One of mine is Medina. Nothing there but the apple store, but love the logistics to lots of nearby hill country places. Summer nights are so cool and peaceful there.

It helps to have a good friend whose ranch overlooks the valley.
