Lowrance HDS map card help

Hey guys, have a Lowrance I've had a while. It came with a map card. But it shows almost nothing but a blue lake. Isn't it supposed to be more detailed?

Am i missing something on install besides inserting it?

Haven't messed with it much because i fish mostly areas i am familiar with. But would like it to work right.

You have to swap it to the card vs. The unit itself via the menu

I'm guessing that's a gen 1 hds or at least one without insight. My gen 2 shows more detail than that with insight. Navionics shows more

This, if you can't figure it out look at the lowrance tutorials or just you tube it.

Its a gen 1 i think. I'll look into it swapping over to the card.

This is the two options i have. Lowrance just shows a blank tan map. Other option navionics is whats currently on screen.

But it is a nauticpath card. Not sure whats up. Read instructions.

That’s the right selection on the screen, and obviously you are seeing the change.

Do you know what that card’s charts SHOULD look like?
Maybe it just sucks.

From the youtube videos i found it should show contours, channels, and depth, a ton more detail than this.

Maybe that body of water is outside the coverage zones of the card?

You probably just don’t have that particular lake map downloaded to the card

My Lowrance won't show Topo features in shallow water, like anything under 15'. How deep was the water.

Thats zoomed out, almost showing the entire lake waco.

Not familiar with that card but you should zoom in all the way to see detail. If my Navionics card isn't zoomed in it won't show detail. My card shows contours down to 5 feet.
