My 8 year old daughter killed her first whitetail and it was a cull buck using her crossbow at 27 yards! Perfect shot and fell over 20 yards away. Already a successful trip!
2nd goal of the trip was for my wife to kill a doe with her bow with the whole family in the stand, My wife, my 8 year old, and my 2 year old and I set in the 6x8 house blind we made just for this. We had a nice doe come out and my 2 year old pointed and made sure we all knew the deer was at the feeder. After a couple of loud minutes of trying to get the kids out the way my wife made a great shot and the doe fell over about 50 yards away.
3rd My wife set up on one of our community turkey feeders we have by camp and smoked her first turkey ever with a bow.
4th The family had an amazing Thanksgiving and we got to meet great people on the lease that turned into friends!
5th I didn't get to kill a monster buck but we will be back this week for me to try again... but no amount of horns would make me change the excitement all my girls had that week!!
