yep i was in the traffic unit, and it was actually a lot more than that per day, i took off a lot plus rainy days in beaumont.... i wrote tickets and investigated city vehicle 18 wheeler wrecks and fatalities,,,,,, it might not have been popular but it did reduce all wreck numbers especially major wrecks and fatal wrecks,, most of the 18 wheelers were not speed related to start with

If you have a smart phone, check out the app Waze. It is a GPS app with police reporting. Like flipping your high beams on to alert oncoming traffic of a speed trap, but on your phone.

I got a ticket last night. My escort was in my truck as I was in my wife's car. I was in a pack with 4 other cars (in the back) was going 70 in a 60. I saw him come up so I got over and he pulled me over and said I was going 84? lol Guess I have to head to the court house and see if he shows up?

And all this time I just thought you were a mall cop!

This right here. Don't need a radar detector anymore.

                But I don't speed anymore.

This only works if a Waze user has seen the popo and entered in. Waze doesn't automatically alert the radiating copper.

Yeah I don't know him but I did the math too....seems outrageous. Must have been a motors cop. When I was brand new and still running traffic all the time i made 5000 stops in 4 years. Maybe 25-30% were tickets. The only way I know the number is I pulled the stats for my bio when writing a class for the E-Ticket writer.

I use the app on my phone called Waze. Other users manually enter the location on the map when they see the 5-0. I enter it as well. Has saved my @$$ a bunch of times.

Speed observing drivers(speeders also) mark the troopers on the map before you get there, the other side also. Better than a radar detector.
I have heard the police can remove their location on Waze...But as soon as they are seen again, they can be marked again about their location.

23 tickets a day is not unheard of. I was a highway Sgt at one time. My Corp would get a case of tickets at a time from me. I checked one year through court and he was over 10k for a 12 month period.
