New Zealand Stag and Fallow Buck

My wife and I just got back from 2 weeks in New Zealand. The first week was planned out to visit Christchurch, Queenstown and Akaroa. The second week was set up for hunting Stag and tahr (changed over to fallow deer instead of tahr).

On our return back to Christchurch, we were told by our B&B that Christchurch was on lockdown due to the shootings so we overnighting in Timaru. We woke up and took in a morning walk on the beach.

The video is from the follow up shot. The first one was good but my guide didn’t want to leave the stag to bleed out and possibly go up higher...so I stalked in for a follow up shot as my guide walked around to push him to me. I wasn’t expecting a shot on a full run but amazingly I hit him again and not long after that he expired.
