Default Got my replica back!!!

Caught this girl this past spring right at 10lbs. Of the thousands of bass I’ve caught this one had the most unique pattern and beautiful golden sheen. Pure Florida Camelot Bell

Awesome. I’ve had a redfish I’ve wanted to do for years but too dang cheap to spend the coin.

Yes. She came out of our lake in Mills Cnty. We stocked these 4yrs ago this June. This yr I’ve caught a 9.8, 10 and a 10.25. As well as several in 6-8 lb range. Popped on of that was probably 12+

word is the Floridas are hard to catch but apparently not - do you also have native in your water or Floridas only? How big were they when you bought them and where did you buy them? I want to put some in mine

They are harder to catch.. especially after any kind of cold front. But when they turn on they turn on. We have no introduced natives. We stocked 1000 pure Florida’s . At stocking they were about the size of a medium size minnow. We bought or fish from Todd Overton. He has renamed the strain as Lonestar Legacy

Thanks - I have bought from Overtons before. I wonder if there are already natives in the pond and FL's are added if that is a good idea?

It wouldn’t hurt if your current population is in check. If that were my plans I would start actively harvesting everything I could and then stock with his 8-10” fish. You will have some pures and F1 crosses

my place is in check - tons of bait fish stocked and some nice natives - up to 6-7lbs - I may just add some F1's and see what happens

Here's a crappie Bill did. Was big fish of the year for Crappie Anglers of Texas in 2017 and Bill does a mount for big fish every year! 2.53 from Sandlin in January. Surprised it held on all year actually. We fished Fork. Roberts and Pines that year.

Beautiful Fish, both the mount and original!

Taxi Question: How come I rarely see any replicas where time is spent matching the tails and fins when they have noticeable imperfections that can be seen in the photo's? Do customers request a "cleaner" fish, or is it too time consuming/difficult?

I've never once noticed this, always focused on looking at the painting skills, but now you've ruined me. I'll never be able to look past those perfect fins on a replica ever again.

I don't like most fish mounts, they're just not realistic. At least not newer ones. This looks like a small mouth on the replica. Just my opinion

I don't like skin mounts after about 15 years. All the yellow grease leeching out makes em look terrible! When a replica gets dusty you can take it out in the yard and hose it off! Plus the fish gets to live to fight another day. Win win in my book.

I have a redfish that wll be replicated after my striper is done. It is missing part of its tail. Taxi said he thought that could be reproduced. We will see in about 8 months.
