From The Bowels Of The Dragon

For four long years, in a land far away, the people were terrorized.
Haunted by this hungry dragon, that gobbled up all their prize.

They the people pooled their force, took the dragon by surprise.
They hacked, and cut, and stabbed at him, till they whittled him down to
    size.

The task was very difficult, and many plead to run.
They said that it reminded them of peeling a strong on-ion.

They rolled, and pushed, and spread him out, enduring what was so foul.
And in the end they rescued these lost souls from within his bowels.

Then they built a great blue wall, that dragons they do hate.
For when they're near, their butts swell shut, and they begin to constipate.

They swell so bad, they internally combust, and explode from within.
It turns their innards wrong side out, and pushes them out their skin.

The people then adorned their wall. Prize possessions to decorate.

To tempt other dragons close enough to watch them constipate.

              LOL. Not really.

All done after 6:30 PM, and it was still waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy to hot to be doing it.

The poem? About 5 minutes of creative thinking.
Made me feel like I would imagine Dr. Zeus feels.

I hate that blue thang, but it catches arrows.

I already miss my hay bale, because it looked soooooooo much better.
This blue wall (swimming pool liner) is ugly, but it stops arrows pretty good from long distances.

Oh thats brilliant! Wait till the heat of summer to drain your pool and use the liner as a backstop for arrows! I think I would have waited til winter to do that, then you wouldn't miss the pool or get too hot unrolling the hay bale!!!lol J/K

Ha! Just made me realize that it would be neat to have a 3D target in the shape of a dragon, kind of like how they have 3D dinosaurs and zombies.

That would be so cool, but how would you make it fly?

Winches and pulleys. That's what kids are for.

                            Rick:

Something else that help errant shots is a piece of short loop carpet draped over a 2 x 4. I used that for a long time when I lived in the city and never had a pass thru. The Blue Wall isn't bad either. Best of luck.

Yeah, string it along on a pulley system. But that's the easy part. The true challenge is figuring out how to make it blow fire balls out of its mouth!
