For a Texan not too bad. May be a little spicy for Yankees.

It’s not bad. My wife and two girls eat it and haven’t complained.
I add hot sauce and eat it with jalapenos.

Asking for the wife. If it’s hotter than sugar she won’t eat it.

Dang! I hate to say it’s going to be too spicy, but it does have a little more kick if you go by the directions.
With that said, honestly my wife and girls eat it and haven’t complained.
        Good luck.

The chili mix is fine. Leave out the chipotle and make the Rotels the mild version.

Even as it is my wife loves it and does not eat hot foods. The above ingredients do give it a tiny bite although it’s a quick one. None stick with you like the oil of fresh jalapeño.

I’m not a drinker so how much does the Shiner really do be just water or beef broth?

It gives it a great rich flavor...much better than water or beefbroth IMO.

The alcohol cooks out of it.

I just whipped up a batch of this amazing chili. Instead of ground meat I used a couple pounds of leftover brisket from this weekend. Also added a couple jalapenos from my last plant.

gonna do the Company Chili Cook-Off again... using Ragin, and adding in some
Buffalo Trace Bourbon, see were it takes it

I made a pot of this today and about hurt myself eating it tonight. The whole family loved it. Thanks for the recipe, Smart.
