We have varmint cage on all of our feeder they will just hang on the side of the the cage. I have pic of them hanging on the side of the cage for 1 1/2hr droping corn for the othere coons. The leg trap work.

Has anyone tried carpet tack strips on the legs? After re-installing my cage this weekend a fellow hunter told me about this trick. I am going to check the camera this afternoon and see how my craftsmanship held up to those crafty creatures over the weekend.

Done it, waste of time. Also tried shark teeth, waste of time. So far my latest attempt is a 30 inch wide coon cage. We will see.

                    Anyone tried Electricity???

Just use some electric fence around the legs with a solar charger. Its kinda pricey, but it should work. You can use insulated wire to burry under the ground and jump from leg to leg so the deer dont hit it and freak out.

Mole bait mixed with canned cat food then set the can just inside the varmint gaurd cage under the feeder. That'll do it..

Traps are the way to go if you can't shoot them.
