Got a rude surprise this morning, after driving 52 miles one way to hunt S'ville, I discovered that the bottoms are under 2 feet of water. Even my alternate route to get to my stand location is flooded.
Turned around and drove all the way home as quickly as I could to get in a stand by the house, only to walk up on two does under my stand. Grrrr.
This is about how my season has gone so far. Making up for the past 3 outstanding seasons, I guess.
Anyway, if you have plans to hunt Somerville, you may want to change them.
