The idea that Georgia should have gotten in is just laughable to me.

They got absolutely rolled in the 4th quarter by Bama against the backup QB
They tied James Franklin for dumbest play call of the year
Their non-conference schedule was an embarrassment
They played 3 good teams and lost to 2 of them. Best win is #10 Florida.
They got curb stomped at LSU by 20 points

Thank goodness sanity prevailed with the selection committee!

They got in. They lost their playoff yesterday.

Right, but it's all relative. VA Tech was very fired up for that ND game, at night in Blacksburg, and the Irish pounded them by 3+ TD's. I guess they should have won by 4 or 5 TD's to make it impressive...

I think the committee got it right. Georgia had a chance yesterday to get in and blew it late in the 4th. I think OU is deserving over tOSU. That being said, I still think the Big 12 was down this year. I read a stat yesterday that said prior to the rematch Texas, OU, and WVU combined only played 10 teams with a winning record. For reference the Ags played 8 teams with a winning record. Not 100% sure if true but that’s telling if it is.

Well boys while y’all have been nursing hangovers and arguing over strength of schedule I knocked out a marathon this am. Apparently I was the only runner without Facebook because everywhere I turned someone was taking a selfie and playing with their phone instead of running. It was hot and not much shade but I got it done The cfb thread is the closest I have to social media and I don’t do selfies so here is a pic of the medal
