you can just use 1/8" cable.... do a search, I think Tuff had a post showing how he made his anchoring system... It the same way I do mine

Cabela's has had some trapping supplies in stock. I think they might have had what you were looking for last time I was in there.

Basspro, Cabela's, Atwoods, and sometimes tractor supply will have trapping supplies!
