I decided to take advantage of the great weather and extremely low tide Sunday morning so I took the boat out for some scouting. Of course the best photo ops come when you don’t have the correct lens. Oh well live and learn… The wading bird ( I won’t say the name… Waiting to see if anyone could guess) was a cool sighting; I have spotted a pair together here in the same area last year with the other bird being of normal plumage. The Whites were circling in a thermal, and I’m guessing the dune dog was also taking advantage of the low tide walking form island to island scavenging around. All in all great morning…next time I’ll grab the lens bag too!
