    Cleaning Fletching

After you shoot something and are out in pasture where no water to rinse off the blood from feather fletching. It dries and hardens up how is best way to get feathers back to normal?????

I have tried soap and warm water but it seems like never get them to fluff up back to normal height. Is it better to just refletch them.

Found out yesterday a squrriel can chew up a cedar shaft real quick before I could put another flu- flu into it......Andy

After cleaning, and letting them dry - steam them to fluff them back to shape.

When you wash them just sling all the water off and then spin them back and forth . You can also use a hair dryer or hang them out the truck window as you are going down the road.

They will never go back perfect but blood on feathers is a good problem.
