    Corn and soy bean feed

Just wondering if anyone has used a soy bean and corn mix in a spin cast feeder, and how it’s worked for you? Will a spin cast handle it okay? Any problems with it? Did the deer start eating the beans quickly?

I run the roasted soybean/corn mix thru our All Seasons feeders.
Flows well and is thrown just as well as the corn is.

Do the deer go nuts for it? No
    Do they eat it? Yes
I have it in 5 of the 11 feeders we have going and deer activity is pretty close to the same at all feeders

Turkey, at least on our place, go absolutely insane and definitely come-a-runnin when those soybeans hit the ground

Feeding 1.5 tons a month. Spins great.

I have fed in in spin feeders for about 6 years with no issue. They eat the beans but I cannot tell you they prefer it but it obviously has more nutritional value than straight corn so it cant hurt. I started using it to get the deer on protein and did not want to buy multiple types of feed so I just started using it in the broadcast feeders as well.
I am honestly not sure it would be worth the additional cost if that's all you are using it for.

Where are you finding it? WilCo grain doesnt sell soy beans because farmers dont plant it.

Careful when opening the roasted soy bean blends. You may find yourself snacking on some.

Been feeding it for years out of a Foreverlast spincast, no issues. My deer love the soybeans.

Much higher protein content. And once the deer get used to it they seem to eat it well.

You wont gain much protein value from a spin cast feeder, use straight corn.

Deer came in quicker with the soybeans. The turkey came in like clockwork.

Any value is better than corn?

We are only feeding protein during this drought.

When we get a chance, not consistently. I will try
                              Some in Goliad next trip
