Why would CLE do that? They are "TRYING"(ha) to rebuild. Clowney wont bring them over the edge to winning anything next year. Giving up two top picks in another crap year for a year of Clowney would be foolish.

As injury prone as he is and with as many holes that the team has, I'd absolutely have him on the trading block. What good did he do the team this year? 1 superstar doesn't get you anywhere. Historically, the Texans are a prime example of that.

Yes, the Texans have plenty of cap room. Plus, he is in the final year of his rookie contract and his salary for 2018 is already determined. Cushing and Joseph are both coming off the books and D. Brown was traded. Those were all big cap hits last year (off season).

To your original question, probably not, but if the right package comes along they would be stupid not to consider it. The #4 and 2019 1st rounder from the Browns would be a good starting point I guess.
