    Comanche, TX and surrounding area...

Headed over to Proctor Lake for a little retirement practice and celebrating our 44th anniversary next month.

I need some eatery advice, if y'all got any ideas or recommendations... Ain't got to be fancy just darn good...

    Appreciate any information...

Don't forget Mary's in Strawn if you head west on I-20.

Burgers don't get any better than the Priddy Store.

A bit more upscale ... Harvest on the East side of the courthouse square in Comanche is really good.

Moment of interest: take a look at the historical marker on the Comanche square under the oaks. Then let your imagination run like that of a child.

Taking notes... wife loves TexMex , steaks, chicken fried, and old fashion hamburgers.

Try the Priddy Store for lunch. About 20 miles south of Copperas Creek on hwy 16. They may have a website. Good old country cooking. If no website they post their menu on FB.

Ditto on the Priddy store.Built a couple of Barndos there for Dean Kagle and one for his son Colt.Had burgers there a few times.Great stuff.Owners bought a building in Goldthwaite and maybe gonna remodel it for a restaurant in town.

Millionaire at Lake Proctor is much better Mexican than Miguel's. Matt Daddy's on the square is a great burger/wing joint. Rockin J's coming into town in the old Chevron Station is a great cafe to eat at. Star Beau's on the square is another really good place to eat. The southwest Clucker at Star Beu's is excellent. Other than those above you have DQ, Subway, Sonic, Chicken Express and Partners Place. The above are all in Comanche

Woody's in Dublin has a good steak.

Hell, if you're gonna go to Brownwood (Not far down the road) might as well hit up Underwoods for lunch one day!
