Here is the Texas ASA Federation Move Up list for Bow Novice and Open C. This list includes the 2012 State Championship winners and 2013 shooters that have met the move up rule standards.
I hear this comment from shooters on a regular basis. "Old Joe 3D Guy has been shooting Bow Novice for the last 3 or 4 years". My reply is "He has not met the move up rule standards at the state or national level".
The Texas ASA Federation state move up rules are:
1. Win two qualifiers during the current season with 10 or more shooters in the class at events won. Shooter moves up immediately.
2. Accumulate 3 top three finishes during current season with 10 or more shooters in the class at events placed in top 3. Shooter moves up immediately.
3. Win the state championship. Shooter moves up at the start of next season.
National Pro/Am Bow Novice and Open C Move Up Rules:
Bow Novice
At any point during the season that a competitor in this class earns more than $300.00 they are required to compete in their choice of Open C, Hunter, or other higher class for the remainder of the season.
Open C
At any point during the season that a competitor in Open C earns more than $300.00 they are required to compete in their choice of Open B, Hunter, Limited or other higher class.

Ethan Butemeyer Won 2012 State Championship
Kevin Guthrie Won Irving and Cinnamon Creek qualifiers
Charles Murphy is "on the bubble" in Bow Novice with 2 third place finishes at Irving and Brazos County.
Since the start of last season (2012) 8 shooters have been moved out of Bow Novice and 2 shooters have been moved out of Open C.
