the only time i'v had problems with tips comeing off, is when i don't get the inside clear of crud and oil. i burn my field tips and quench,
then a little ferl tite. and a little heat and no problem..
it seams that broadheads are cleaner and a lot less oil'lee...LOL

I always was the tips out with laquer thinner to get all the oil and stuff out. I never had trouble with ferr-l-tite until the last two sticks I bought. There is defenitely something wrong with those two. They are just so hard and brittle, the stuff breaks after a few hard impacts and the points come off. I ahve a 160 Gr. STOS broadhead deep inside my Yellow Jacket broadhead block that came off the very first shot after I put it on.

I prefer the fore flexable glue sticks to the hard brittle stuff.

Just keep your points in a pickle jar with some denatured alcohol and burn em out real good when you heat them. The trick is to make sure your ferrule is tapered long enough and at the proper angle.
