Here is the first buck (in back in the first pic). I'll post the second buck in a bit. What say you on age, spread and score?

    4.5+

*correction* (At a second glance I see the deer in question is the far left in the first pic)

Should finish in the low 130's

Thanks. All deer in the first post are the same. In the very first picture, the deer in question is in the back on the far left. That is the best straight on shot I have of him. All deer in the second post are the same deer (different than first post).

Long flattened out hooves and short legs make me think that's an older deer.

I'd love to see more responses on this thread. I am not very experienced at judging age or score, but my first guess for age on both deer was 3.5 or 4. I've shot deer on my place that have similar bodies to that second deer and they all aged at 3.5 on the teeth.

Here is another that is showing up. The deer up front in the 3rd picture is the same from above. The deer in the back is for this post. Age & score?

I agree, I would love more responses. I struggle even more aging deer when they aren't rutted up with a big neck.

I'm thinking the first deer is 4/4.5 or older. I saw him during doe and spike season last year and he was at least 3.5 then. The second deer I think is 3/3.5 like you are saying. And the one I just posted I think is at least 4/4.5. We had TC pics of him last year and he appeared to be 3.5 then but we never saw him in person.

                    4.5 & 120ish 1st deer
                    3.5 & 130ish 2nd deer
I'm terrible at scoring deer in velvet they are very deceiving.

Also, for those of you with more experience watching deer grow any guesses on how much more they will grow in the next month? What really has me curious is the difference between the second deer and the other 2. The second deer's antlers look like they are still bigger (I call them bulbs) at the tips like he is still growing. The first deer looked like that in his July pics but not any more which makes me think he is probably about done growing. The 1st and 3rd deer appear to be done growing for the most part if the bulbs have any relevance. Am I correct or just making stuff up?

                          1st deer 3.5, 2nd deer 4.5+
Both score 115-120 but 2nd deer looks like he has more growing to do.
                          3rd deer 4.5+ and 125-130's
Is that 3rd deer a 12pt? Nice bucks!

Just west of the Nueces, north of 90. It is low fence, small acreage (<500 acres) with even smaller neighbors.
