KJO Feb 26-28 New Animals = New Opportunities!!

We had a great weekend spent out at KJO hunting and checking out new animals Keith has out there.

Keith will be implementing a new pricing structure starting May 1 of this year. He has a lot more variety and will be catering to all hunters offering Rams to Zebra.

We arrived Friday to great temperatures but a little bit of wind. We set up in stands about 3:15 PM and got settled in. Unfortunately we were fighting the backside of a full moon but still managed to see plenty of game Friday evening. Between four hunters we saw a mix of Rams, axis, oryx, zebra, auodad, and sika.

Saturday morning we had two more hunters join us, making it a total of six hunters. Again a lot of animals seen but nobody released an arrow. Several hunters had very itchy fingers but opted to wait.

Saturday evening we had pretty High Winds. We did see some blackbuck, fallow, auodad, Rams, and axis. Two hunters attempted to take axis doe but the winds had them spooky and no shot opportunity was presented.

Sunday Morning we had a slow morning, mine was slow due to a head cold and constant sniffling, sneezing and coughing. Other hunters were on some Rams and fallow but shot opportunities were limited and time ran out before the animals moved on.

All in all we all had a great time and enjoyed seeing all the new animals Keith has to offer now. Everyone had shot opportunities but we choose not to for one reason or another. Keith is always a great host and goes above and beyond to try and put us on animals on our package.

The group that came in right after us had a great hunt and had a little deeper pockets than us, taking some beautiful trophies.

Once again a great trip at KJO and looking forward to many more! Thanks for reading!

Wow. Those are some excellent trophies. Love that Addax. Sounds like, and looks like, these hunters enjoyed their hunts at KJO. I'm going next week. Can't wait.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully the new model works out for him; looks like he's added quality and variety.
