Scope Recommendation for 6.5CM Deer Rifle

I just ordered a .700 SPS Tactical in 6.5 CM today. I am looking for a decent scope for it. I want plenty of magnification and good low light glass. This is for deer hunting 20-400 yards if need be. Would like to stay less than $700.

Leupold VX3i 4.5-14x40 will do everything you are looking for in your budget. If want a little better low light performance can bump up to the 50mm objective.

Anything in 14-16 top end power will be plenty. Then just pick your flavor. Hell even a 10 fixed power would be plenty for 400 yards.

Nikon is great glass for the money and the Black I have is great, though at 6-24 not suited for the ranges you're looking at. I stretch it to 1,000(+), not hunting. Almost any scope is too much at 20 yards.

I don’t think you need 20x for a hunting rifle out to 400 yards. I think the 4.5-14x is a good range. The CDS feature on Leupold is pretty neat. Shot a hog at 314 yards a couple weeks ago, dialed it in, held dead on and dropped it.
