I'm one to try to get more power out of anything I can so I have some questions for the TBH braintrust about getting more power out of the golf cart. It's a 96 EZGO 36 volt. I've been doing a lot of searching online and here to try and figure out how to get more torque and possibly more speed. I'd prefer torque over speed as it will be my hunting buggy.
From what I've found on here it seems like I should do the following:
keep the 36 volt motor
upgrade the controller to a 400 amp
upgrade the solenoid to a 48 V
upgrade cables to a lower ga like 4 or 2 ga
add 2 more 6 volt batteries
My questions come in with some of the specifics. From what I can tell there are a couple of different setups on these carts with series or separately excited motors and some other things that are making the water muddy for me.
What do I need to look for to make sure I order the right parts and don't do more damage than good on this thing?
