    Rustic twin bed

Well my wife and I had fun making my sons room a duck room before he was born, now he's two so it's time for a big boy bed.

Made this in my garage with a skill saw and a cordless drill. Made up plans as I went.

Lacking side rails and sand down the rough edges and stain.

Now this big daddy is replacing the crib.

    Looking good, dad!
You might want to consider covering the inside ends of the bolts so they don't poke a hole in the mattress or tear the sheets (just a suggestion).
You could probably take a woodburner to the headboard and footboard and outline some flying geese or a big buck or some other critters in silhouette.

Ya I am going to put some kind of nipples on the bolts.

Man the wood burning would be a slick idea, thanks bro may give it a try.

This is cool! Our kiddo recently went from crib to big boy bed too! His mattress is just sitting in the floor for now, but the wife is on me about building him a bed. I might have to copy some ideas here

Looks great, but I have heard that some treated wood is toxic. Might want to confirm that.

Love it. We have one on the way and want to do the same with the wood panel wall. Can you post a photo of that?
