News here in Austin reporting shooter in custody, between 8-10 people are dead, they have found live explosives on the campus and off. Going update when they come back from commercials.

Agree 1000%. There were recently a couple of threats at my two oldest kids high school. Everyone started asking why dont we have metal detectors yet... well we do. They were in a bond package for the new football stadium many, many years ago. They're sitting in a closet at the high school, not being used. Yet they want to do clear backpacks next year... yeah that'll help.

The media carries some of the blame

So, what if we turned all of the attention to the media instead of guns? totally agree, make standard practice that the accused's name never gets publicized and it would slow this stuff down, but we know that can't happen in the world we live in.

Per the news conference - IED's found on and off campus.... Shotgun used. 1 in custody and 1 being held as a person of interest.. Less than 10 dead.
This makes me physically sick.. I just do not understand..
