Thoughts on Troy BattleRail hand guards? Any good, or pass?

I still haven't found what I really want for my LR-308, but today, I came across a Troy BattleRail, and I like the looks. Looking for anyone that has experience with them. Durability, functionality, etc... Any input would be very helpful. Thank you.
    All the best,
    Glenn

Well... I hope it's a good one, because I just bought it. $100 off retail. Got it for a little over $150 plus shipping. Dang things are expensive, even on sale!

    All the best,
    Glenn

They're good, if it's the one I'm thinking of, the grip is rough, but that's a preference thing

I have one. Solid rail, mounts solid and mods are solid as well. Little heavy but not too bad.

Where did you find it on sale? I'm looking for a 15"

I found it on Gunbroker through a company called RichiesPNG. They listed another one for the same price. Ends in a little less than 10 hours, so don't wait if you want one at that price:

Or if you would be interested in the one I'm replacing (12"):

I have the same rail on a 308 and it works great. Have several other Troy Alpha rails on different AR's and I've never had an issue with any of them. You won't be disappointed.

If this is the one, it works good. Rough on the hands...

I think that is it. But the pictures I saw made it look pretty smooth - lots of little recessed holes.

Personally based off of looks alone it's not my cup of tea, I can't speak for the quality though but I have heard good things about Troy's product. SLR Rifleworks makes some really good looking quality rails as well as F1 Firearms and Vella Industries if you want the option of an 18.5in rail

I like it. It is a little rough on the hands, but not bad. I usually shoot this one from a bi-pod anyway.
