    Home grown protein feeder designs

Show me what you've built. I've built one with PVC and a tee at the bottom, and wasn't impressed when the hogs emptied 300lbs in just days! Also, having hogs and seeing pics of them standing on their back legs to get to it, I wonder if they might break PVC off eventually?

IMO, you have to put hog panels up to keep hogs off of any feeder

Dont even worry about protein if you dont put up a fence. Unless you have plenty of money and mant some high dollar hogs, then you would need to make it out of strong metal. Or just dump all the protein on the ground so they dont have to tear up your feeder.

it works very well, but i wouldn't recomend it for an area with a high deer density. We have a fairly low deer population, so I free choice feed to get as many deer as I can to frequent my area.

How much would it cost to something like that?
