Carpet grass question

I’ve got a place out side of college station where the dogs have removed all grass and now it’s just a sand pit. Is it to late in the year to throw a pallet of carpet grass down and water it? I was just wondering if there is a certain time a year to put it down since home builders use it all year

If the dogs are still in this area, I don't know of anything that will help.

They are not going to be there for a couple months and I can section that part of the yard off to let it grow

You'll be fine id wait til end of Sept or Oct though when it cools down

If you buy it from the farm fresh cut and put it down pronto, you'll be fine.
