Got a varmit under the deck, on the stand now.

Tools- surf rod rigged with small hook and steel leader, cheese as my bait, Co2 bb pistola as my weapon of choice.

Rat eats cheese , gets hooked, pull rat out of the hole, shoot with pistola.

LDP's once I conquer him.

Don't think this will be successful the way rats eat they will not swallow the hook but eat the bait off of it. Just set up a bait pile of cheese and peanut butter and shoot him when he comes into he setup

Ya your going to need a size 20 or smaller fish hook, something they will swallow.

And yes as kids we caught rats on poles with cheese as bait, its been 40 years but i bet it still works, switch to treble hook.
