I built a couple new short feeders to replace some old feeders at our place in Rocksprings. That place is just too far out there to risk falling off a ladder, and getting hurt.
The first one is my wife's, and she wanted to paint it herself. I always call her my trophy wife because she "retired" from dental hygiene for awhile to stay at home with our 2 boys. I came home from work yesterday to find her and the boys working in the shop!
Feeder is built with an 80 gallon barrel, 1-1/2" angle ,& 1" Square tubing. The whole thing is very light. We don't have pigs out there, so I didn't cage it. Hopefully the eliminator will keep the coons at bay. If not, I have welding machine out there, then i'll just add a cage if the need arises.
Also picked up a galvanized lid & funnel for the barrel at Dickinson Feed. I really like how tight the funnel fits, and the lid hugs the barrel nicely.
Anyway...I think her's turned out pretty dang good!
