    M1 Garand spot and stalk

I got to spend the week on an amazing peace of south Texas brush country. The weather wasn't great to start with and when that cleared the full moon didn't help us out either.
But I ended up finding this nice blackbuck on a last morning spot and stalk. Made an 80 yard shot from the sticks and he dropped 30 yards later.

I love hunting with the old rifles. Yes I give up about 20 minutes of shooting light that a scope would give me. But the reward of a successful hunt with a great old rifle is so much better.

How cool is that?! Congrats … love the gun. I've got a handed down Win '94 that I'm itching to "break in" on a hog. After that, it can go back into the safe to age lol

Awesome!!! Good to see that someone else enjoys hunting with old service rifles... this year my 96 Swede is first up. After I shoot something with it, I might have to switch over to the k98 or the Garand.

Yes it's a special. I got to go to the advanced gunsmith course and built it there from parts.

That's a expensive looking rifle. What brand is it? I have thought about getting a Garand, used to have a match grade M14, years ago, that was a nice rifle.

Love the M1. I have had shooters on not so good shooters. When you get a shooter they are fun. Congrats.
