How big? Axis and pig.

Have this axis buck showing up the last few morning and the pig today. I have other pics of both, but not on my phone. How big do you think each is? Axis a shooter?

If I had a ranch where I could manage my animals I would let that Axis walk. He has good mass and carries well with excellent cottles. Fronts are good too. 29", I concur.

they r both shooters. If you get caught up in the "standard" trophy numbers -30"main beam length will be your deciding/magic number. His cottles and eyeguards look good!l

Pig 225, axis is one of 2 things:
1) shooter if you are low fence, leasing the place, and there aren't many around. Someone will definitely shoot him.
2) if you have a large place and he lives there, let him grow. He can only get bigger.

Cant fault you for either decision, as long as you kill the pigs!

I'd say 180 - 190 on the pig and around 28" on the axis. If you have lots of axis, you might consider letting it walk, I for one would probably not let it walk.

Been trying to pop pigs anytime I go up there and it is a small low fenced place. The axis move in and out of there a bunch. I'll get pics of them for a few days then they're gone for weeks at a time.
