    Marlin Lever 30-30

    I inherited a Marlin 30-30.

From what I understand certain yrs are preferred over others.

I think this is the serial number
    69 25555

Anyone know anything about this model?

    This says it's a 1969 model

Mine is JM stamped and will do this at 100 yards with iron sights. They’re good’uns

Any pre crossbolt safety that has been cared for should be a really good shooter as proof shown in prior post

Congrats... the parallels I encounter on TexasBowhunter amaze me on a regular basis. Last year my stepmom gave me a rifle I did not even remember my late dad having, but when I saw her walking out with the ancient leather gun case I did remember,my heart skipped a beat, butterflies hit my guts I fought back the tears till I made it to my truck. Its a Marlin 336 (1986).30-30. I've began to remodel it.

Grand daddy had one he'd bought in the late 60's. After he passed on in 2013 one of the family friends convinced my grandmother that it was deadly to keep it in the house and bought it from her for $100 (IIRC). I shot my first deer with that rifle when I was 13.....
