Damascus Skinner on Tamarind
03-26-2018, 08:51 AM
Damascus Steel Skinner on Stabilized Tamarind. The OAL is 9 3/4, Tip to Guard is 4 3/4 cutting edge is 4". Perfect balance and contoured to fit the hand.
I making most of my hidden tang knives like this unless they are mounted on antler.

That spalted tamarind looks superb. Along with the blade. I've got a bunch of that wood but it's not stabilized!

I like tamarind too but too soft if not stabilized.

That's way too purdy to get blood all over
One day maybe I can make a knife that purdy. If I live that long.

Spalted Tamarind that I've priced is expensive and when it's stabilized it's even more expensive. Sure makes a beautiful handle.

I but it in large blocks and stabilized it myself.
