I was dead set on getting an M&P shield at Cabela's when they were having a really good deal on them. I had already handled the handgun several times when shopping for one and was just waiting on the sale to come around. When the sale came around, a different guy at Cabela's was helping me and had me look at the Honor Defense 9mm. I handled it and it felt really good in hand. It was a little more expensive, but IMO it's features blew away the M&P. I've shot it quite a bit, and it's accurate and a real joy to shoot. I'd strongly recommend looking at one of them. Plus it's a veteran owned company. They only make 4 handguns so they focus all their efforts on making a quality concealed carry weapon.

Right now it my RIA 1911 OFFICERS model. .45acp. In a cross breed IWB holster. I also had a Ruger lcp 380 I really liked. Had the knife clip. Carried really well. Sure regret selling it.

Glock 23, or full size 1911. I have a well broken in holster for the glock, and cannot even tell I have it on, most of the time. The 1911 of course is heavier, but I don't have an issue carrying it as well.

Yup I just trade up to a 938 for my CCW.

I like it a lot and it's a tack driver if I do my part...

BUT

(It's a big but)

Due to the small size the external safety can easily get switched when recoiling in my hands.
I have to remember to keep my thumb clear of it and it's fine.
