Professor Karmamesh has tendered his resignation because he feels "uncorfortable" staying at UT knowing that when the new law goes into effect, students may be carrying. Just caught part of the interview on the local news.

He's resigning from a Emeritus position, so technically he is already retired. Wouldn't be surprised if he was ready to be fully retired and just used this as a political soap box opportunity.
