All kinds of luck this weekend

As many of you know, I'm a firm believer in aiming under whitetails as 99% of the time they will drop 8 or 10" by the time my arrow makes it to them.
Well I had a 1% buck this weekend. He never moved a muscle while my arrow whistled across the 20 yards and passed right under him

That after noon I killed the unluckiest 8 point on the lease.
He was real spooky and when I finally got to full draw he turned to face me.
I held for as long as I could and decided I had to let down.
My hand was 6 or 8" away from my face when the string slipped off the tab.
The arrow would have passed harmlessly a foot to the left and a foot high as it lobbed across the opening if he had stood still.
The deer spun and leaped forward catching the big 1-7/8" head right in the neck.
He spun around and I saw a huge stream of blood pouring out of him.
He made it 75yards and painted every bush on the way.
      Darnedest thing I ever saw
I will be back after the big 9 after thanksgiving but don't have a clue where I should aim

If this is any consolation...I'd rather miss low than to hit to high.
I aim really low also Buff, and "most of the time" it works out, but not always.

Haha. I'd say he WAS the unluckiest. Now he is the lucky one in cooler.

          Cool story buff.

          Thanks for sharing.

That's a story right there! If bad luck has to count the GOOD luck counts too.

i love it when a plan comes together, or an accident works to my advantage, or a complete fluke of the situation works out for me... either way congrats, and cool story to boot.

Let's clear one thing up right now!

There are no LUCKY animals once you get to full draw!

                      Congrats on the 8.
                      Prayers sent for 9!
