Since getting my first bow back in the first week of September, I've been obsessing about getting out and hunting with it. The first weekend I could hunt, we were rained on all day Saturday (although I got my first 'technical' kill by taking out an armadillo in the rain at 20 yards).
This past weekend I had as many as 9 deer at my feeder at one time, including a nice 7 point (4 1/2 year old) buck. But, he didn't really fit our management strategy.
However, I did get my first kill - this hog.
From 20 yards, I got a pass through from my Switchback XT set at 60 pounds, using a Spitfire Max. She stumbled off only 50 yards.
I can't contain myself now - can't focus on anything but getting back out there. (Near Olney on Throckmorton/Young County line)
Can you relate???
Any hints on getting a kitchen pass for the third weekend in a row?
