Thumbs up I really like it!

All Star Roof System did a bang up job from start to finish. Not only did they keep me in the loop, but stopped by several times just to check on things and see if I was happy. As an added bonus, Joel and Tony are TBH members.

So a few months ago a hail storm came thru and messed up the house and barn pretty good, I had to have total replacement on both. I had started a thread asking questions about replacements and contractors just trying to get an idea of which way to go. There were a couple of other TBH members that was also roofers and gave good advice and bids for the work, but when it came down to it the warranty, number of years in business, A+ BBB rating, and the references were just all over the top.

The hard part was picking the color for the roof, we wanted something other than galvalume ( as it was before ). We settled on Copper metallic, yes I know a bold choice, but with the advice of Joel and Tony we went for it. Joel said he was going to send out his most detailed oriented standing seam roofer for this job. He warned me Rolando was a hoot and loved to talk, and he was correct. What he didn't warn me about was his work ethic, this dude worked from 8 to 8 sometimes for 10 days in a row. Rolando is a guy you would want working for you.

Anyway enough talk, here is the house in all of its Copper Metallic glory complete with copper metallic gutters and round down spouts.

Thanks everyone, I went all in and had to convince the boss of it. She wasn’t real sure, but now she loves it. The color has a 40 year warranty and it comes with a lifetime no leak warranty

Thanks again Tony, you guys were great and we really liked Rolando. My wife gave him 9 kinds of hell and he took it all and gave it back to her. I think it was the highlight of his day when she came out to inspect things.

I don't remember the exact numbers, but the roof is built to the same code as if it were on the coast. Something like a 200 plus mph wind rating. I just hope it never gets tested.

Yep. My next roof. Just put a $260,000 standing seam 22 ga. roof on the church. That stuff is labor intensive and expensive. Did they roll the panels on site? Berridge material per chance?

No sir we use McElroy Metal. We pre measure every panel then they roll them at their plant. It insures that their rolling machine stays calibrated and minimizes the oil canning the most.

Default Barn love

I was so excited about the house that I forgot to show the barn some love. The actual barn roof is white, but as you can see the boss wants the barn to tie in to the house. House has rock, barn has rock, house has brown shutters...... you get the idea. So we had the copper gutters put on the barn and well as the copper trim. I think it is just the right amount to tie them together, anymore and it may have went over the top.

I will say it one more time, Joel and Tony with All Star Roof are the real deal. If you need roof work that is the only call you need to make. You will not have to deal with the insurance company with the exception of calling for an adjuster to come out. Other than that Joel will take care of it.

Please tell me you didn’t sign a cosmetic waiver through your insurance company? Roofs like that are absolutely beautiful and it breaks my heart to have to tell the home owner that the insurance they have been paying on for years won’t cover your roof when it hails.
