Well...this was pretty much a horrible season on our lease. I had the chance to release 1 arrow all year, and that deer wasn’t recovered. On a positive note she didn’t die and is still around eating corn, but only at night now!! She has a scar in her shoulder to show for our encounter but other than that she seems fine. I did manage to kill a buck on November 18th with a rifle. I’m hunting still but with a muzzleloader trying to fill a doe tag in the late season, and not having much luck there either. I’ve hunted a lot and as always I’ve enjoyed the time in the woods, it just hasn’t been to productive. Hopefully I can seal the deal with my muzzleloader and then if the hogs stick around I’ll be back to hog hunting with my bow soon. Hoping next season is better!!
