Update time. The latest word from Curtis is that we should expect to receive the short mags and remaining short standards next week. I hope so, as we have now officially worked through ALL of the shorts we had in stock. Long action standards are to come in the following week. I wish I had more solid info, but this is what we are being told. If anything changes, I'll post it here.

Thanks,
Robert

Thanks for the continued updates Robert. We are all looking forward to these rifles. I am sure the supply issues are frustrating.

Just picked up the new family members. 7mm-08 is a bday present for junior. The 6.5-284 is a long range persuader for tagging along on bowhunts. They look awesome, Iíll be ready to fling some bullets.

Well, I was warned. The Berger vld’s I had loaded for the rifle won’t fit in the magazine. I had some accubonds loaded for it. I think they are a bit shorter. Gonna have to check it out.

No worries fellas, it's worth it! Wait till you squeeze the trigger on one.

I finally got to shoot mine today. I couldn't take it any more. Sat down in the yard at deer camp and used a bogpod to rest. Gun went off quick the first time. THAT TRIGGER!!!! Is nice!

Next two pretty much in the same hole. Had to load up and leave and didn't shoot anymore.

I think most of us realize there is nothing that Alamo can do but wait on the supplier at this point.

And it looks like you have a shooter, QB!

Why did you build the 6.5x284 on a short action?

I was told it would work with extended magazine. Iím not positive it got the extended magazine. I read more about it and saw that most built those on a long actions. Iím obviously not a gun expert. If the accubonds I had loaded fit and shoot it will be fine. The APR guys know about the situation already.

When you start reloading for that, about 43 grains of RL-16 under that same bullet do a good job.

Which trigger was in your. Did you get one after the switch to the Trigger Techs? Nice grouping for the first 3 shots fired.

Berger makes a classic hunting bullet designed to fit hunting rifle mags. I do not know if it will help you out, but I can send you a few to try. They are 135 gr Classic Hunter 6.5mm. I have been working up a load for my 6.5 CM from Alamo and they are shooting very well. Send me a PM if you would like a few to try.

Thanks for the offer! Robert and I are working through it. Going to get the extended magizine on it then start looking at loads and overall carefree length. Iím wanting a 500 yard hunting rig that I can shoot targets with a bit further out. I think itís gling to work out.

QUESTION:

When I drug the APR rifle out the last time I was going to mount a sling to it. Failed to remember the flush cups.

Will any make work or does it have to be from grayboe?

Couldnít have turned out better!

Rings look too tall but surprisingly the eye alignment is good with solid cheek weld. Probably gonna have to try some lows just to see.

Trigger Tech feels great during dry fire so canít wait to shoot it.

It doesn't have a flush cup on the side up front? That's silly and kind of defeats the purpose.

Grayboe website, lists the Terrain as having 3 flush cups, so assume 2 in back and 1 up front. Makes it nice to carry rifle flat against your back and bolt handle out away from you. You can also leave a bipod attached. The 2 sling studs underneath makes for a good place to mount a 1913 rail for an Atlas bipod.
