My buddy with the forestry service said that parts of Sonora/junction saw some pretty decent rain. He's been hearing any where from 1-4 inches across the county. He got 2 1/3 inches at his place west of Sonora

I have not gone out there yet. Waiting until turkey hunters are done. I'll post up where it is after I get out that way.

I'm honestly not sure where that is. I hunt about 15 miles West of town just South of the Interstate.

Just made it home everything seems to be in pretty good shape ! We put out a couple new feeders and topped off the others they've been hitting the protein pretty hard. Seen loads of deer and a few bucks we've never seen. Thinned the coons by 7.

Just new to the area and wondered what to expect. Pictures from previous hunters showed good potential of deer. Pictures of axis/fallow on cameras but unclear as to whether they hang around or it's just one or two that pass through. We are headed this weekend to set up.

Brought home some meat this weekend. Looking pretty green out there. We typically don't run feeders from March-June so it was a weekend full of walking and stalking.

Just measured and remeasured his good beam at 34.5". I believe it was a body injury that caused this- should he have had a symmetrical right side his antlers would have crossed at the tips

Does anybody know if The deer started shedding yet? We got lucky and found a place off Juno road about 5 miles west of 277. Were heading up this weekend to start feeding protein and were hoping we'd be able to get an idea of what's on the place

Should close on a little place next week a few miles down the road from where I believe Mr. Stolle camps. I hope we see some animals worth bragging about so I can contribute something to this thread.

Will have a full plate in front of me. Need to drop electricity, drill well, hammer in septic and arrange some quarters to stay in other than work and play trailer that we are starting off with.

Sounds fun. Have seen several herds of spots on the place while touring and 1 nice whitetail.

Thank y'all, gentlemen. He is going to make a nice euro.

Of course, the biggest animals are usually seen on the drive home. This guy was right at HWY 41 and 335, probably close to 30+" wide. Looks like that doe has been giving some piggy back rides as well..

That's the place. He's got recently bulldozed fencelines and all of the line posts are purple. The rafter W is your East neighbor I think, they have the big oat fields right against 277. I have seen big herds of blackbuck and aoudad around the Cauthorn and in those fields. Tons of deer around there too. Post up pics once you get setup, and welcome to the area!

Looks like we're all close to each other. There's a small piece of property between Doublelunger's new place to mine. Our south fence line is on the sutton/Val Verde county line. I'm about 4 miles from Edwards. Millman/breese are right across the road. Very cool!
