    well pipe and distance

howdy folks, i'm sure there must be a maximum amount of pipe on a system but how do you figure the amount. I want to run pipe to my shop and a few other places around the yard but when I total it all up it's around 400', but no more than 150 ' from the pump. I have a 1hp pump and 1" pipe. Maybe install some valves so I can cut sections off if needed?

How big is your pressure tank? How much volume will be needed at the same time to different locations?

Go with the 1" pipe. It should work out. If not,up-size the pump

You should be fine but you may want to bump up to a storage tank with three phase booster pump just to make it easier on all elements.

If you don’t want to do that route just pull the well and put on a 1.5 horse and you’ll be fine

Will be fine unless you turn on all faucets at once.

1'' pipe is good for 9 billion feet.
